My story
Translating Community Voices Into Impact
With a commitment to equity, scientific rigor, and sustainable outcomes, we help bridge the gap between research and lived experiences to create positive health outcomes and lasting impact.
Hi, I’m Sedem.
I am a global health professional, social scientist, and strategic consultant with a decade of experience bridging research, policy, and program implementation across diverse international settings. My work is grounded in a deep commitment to equity, decolonization, and the power of human connection in shaping sustainable health solutions.
With formal training from the Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University, my expertise spans social determinants of health, strategic management, and community-based participatory research. I have worked extensively in the U.S. and sub-Saharan Africa on key global health challenges, including maternal and child health nutrition, WASH, infectious disease prevention, and health systems strengthening.
As a consultant, I help organizations and independent researchers design and implement ethical, community-driven interventions that prioritize dignity, resilience, and impact. My work integrates storytelling, human-centered design, and cross-sector collaboration to create policies and programs that reflect the lived experiences of the communities they serve.
From leading large-scale operational programs to conducting decolonial research on global health governance, I bring a systems-level approach that honors local expertise while driving meaningful change. Whether through policy development, qualitative research, or capacity-building initiatives, my mission is to center compassion and equity as the foundation of sustainable global health solutions.
What it’s like to work with me
Clients often tell me I bring a calm, grounding presence to their business. I’ll ask you real questions, challenge fuzzy thinking, and help you name trade-offs—without judgment.
We’ll move at a realistic pace, co-creating systems your team can actually maintain. My goal is for you to need me less over time, not more.
Want to see if we’d be a fit?
The best way is a simple conversation. You can share what’s on your mind, and I’ll share how I might help.
